Stage 1 is normally designed for a standard or near-standard vehicle. Stage 2 is calibrated around compatible supporting modifications. Stage 3 is a bespoke project for substantially upgraded hardware and may require data logging and controlled testing. The correct level depends on the actual engine, transmission and modifications.
Selected DSG, DCT, CVT, ZF, EGS and Powershift transmission controllers can be calibrated for revised shift behaviour, torque management and supported hardware. ECU and TCU compatibility must be checked from the controller identification first.
