Motorhome and campervan ECU remapping enquiries for Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit and similar platforms. SG-Tronic Motorsport checks vehicle and ECU compatibility before proposing suitable tuning from its West Midlands workshop.

Motorhomes often operate at a different weight and duty cycle from an unconverted van. A properly assessed calibration may be aimed at low-rev response or smoother driving on inclines, but it must respect the engine, transmission, cooling system, actual payload and manufacturer limits.
We review the vehicle chassis, engine variant, ECU details and how you use the motorhome. A coachbuilt Fiat Ducato, a Mercedes Sprinter conversion and a VW campervan can need very different ECU programming methods and technical advice.

Any change is subject to the ECU, mechanical condition and road-use requirements. Results depend on the actual vehicle; no fixed horsepower, torque or fuel-saving figures are promised.
Discuss hill-starts and sustained gradients on appropriate roads, without promising fixed torque gains.
Focus on comfortable driveability and suitable response at sensible engine speeds rather than extreme peak power.
A calibration must consider loaded vehicle weight, clutch or automatic transmission, tyre and cooling system condition.
Fuel use varies with vehicle weight, wind, terrain and driving style. An economy remap is an assessment, not a guaranteed MPG saving.
We confirm the exact engine and ECU before accepting any tuning job. Chassis names are examples for enquiries, not a promise of compatibility.
Fiat Ducato-based coachbuilt motorhomes and campervans, with ECU support reviewed by model year and engine.
Peugeot Boxer conversions with compatible engine management and appropriate programming access.
Citroën Relay touring and leisure conversions assessed by ECU, engine code and vehicle use.
Mercedes-Benz Sprinter-based campervans and motorhomes assessed for hardware limits and ECU access.
Ford Transit camper conversions and larger coachbuilt motorhomes checked individually.
VW T5/T6 Transporter and Crafter campervan ECU tuning enquiries, subject to ECU security.
Share registration, VIN, engine code, year, gearbox type and whether the vehicle is a camper conversion or coachbuilt motorhome.
We check programming compatibility and ask about load, faults and recent maintenance.
We discuss low-speed driveability, hills or touring performance and quote the supported scope.
For suitable vehicles, we carry out the agreed service and explain any required checks and limitations.
Motorhomes vary widely in chassis, weight and ECU access, so we provide a vehicle-specific quotation rather than advertising the car Stage 1 starting price as a guaranteed motorhome price. The SGTM workshop is in Stourbridge, West Midlands. Selected mobile services may be assessed by arrangement; please confirm accessibility, safe parking and vehicle suitability before planning travel.
Visit by prior booking at Unit 3 Glass Court, 70 Hayes Lane, Stourbridge, DY9 8QT. Confirm vehicle dimensions and suitability in advance.
Some enquiries can be assessed for mobile attendance. Availability, travel charges and safe access depend on vehicle and location.
Equipped garages may enquire about online ECU tuning files, provided the original read and ECU details are available.
ECU calibration should not be used to conceal an unresolved fault or disable emissions controls required for road use. DPF, EGR and SCR/AdBlue systems must remain compliant; manufacturer payload, axle and towing limits do not change after remapping. Inform your insurer about any vehicle modification and keep the vehicle properly maintained.
SGTM assesses software support and lawful application before accepting work. When a technical or safety condition makes remapping unsuitable, diagnostics or mechanical repair may be recommended instead.
Vehicle diagnostics and fault checksWe assess Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Relay-based motorhomes, subject to engine, ECU software version and programming support. Send the registration, VIN and engine details first.
Some suitable calibrations can change low-rev torque response, but results vary with the engine, actual load, gearing and mechanical condition. We cannot guarantee a particular gain or hill-climbing result.
Motorhome and campervan ECU remapping is quoted individually after an ECU compatibility and vehicle assessment. Specialist or locked ECU access and mobile travel can affect the final price.
Some selected mobile visits may be considered by arrangement. We confirm location, access space, vehicle size and ECU compatibility first; many jobs are best handled in the Stourbridge workshop.
No. ECU tuning does not change the vehicle’s legal maximum authorised mass, axle limits, towing capacity or manufacturer-rated weights.
A conventional towed caravan has no drive-engine ECU to remap. If you tow a caravan, we may assess the towing vehicle’s ECU instead; tuning does not increase its legal tow rating.
Tuning must maintain the vehicle’s emissions and other legal requirements. Notify your insurer about modifications and check that the vehicle remains roadworthy.
Send the registration, VIN, chassis base, engine code, gearbox type and any warning lights. We will advise whether programming is technically suitable.
