Discuss a carefully matched Stage 1 calibration for a suitable standard petrol or diesel vehicle. SGTM checks your exact ECU, engine software and vehicle condition before confirming an appointment at our Stourbridge workshop.

Best suited to standard or lightly modified petrol and diesel vehicles with good service history.
The aim is smooth torque delivery and stronger mid-range response, not aggressive behaviour.
SGTM checks ECU type, software level and vehicle condition before agreeing a Stage 1 route.
Stage 1 is normally intended for a healthy, standard or near-standard engine without a requirement for major supporting hardware. It is not a universal file: the correct ECU software identification, fuel type, torque management and vehicle condition all matter.
We discuss daily driving priorities such as low-speed response, mid-range torque and smooth delivery. An existing turbo fault, clutch slip, DPF warning or poor running condition must be investigated before tuning.

Request an ECU check →The correct service is based on ECU identification, mechanical condition and the proposed road-compliant calibration.
Stage 1 is assessed against standard hardware limits, ECU capabilities and service history.
Calibration goals may include smoother response and more usable torque rather than a single headline power figure.
Pre-existing warning lights, boost leaks, injector faults or transmission problems need attention first.
These are examples for discussion, not a promise of compatibility or specific power figures.
Golf GTI, Audi TFSI, Ford EcoBoost and comparable engines may be assessed by ECU and software number.
BMW diesels, VW/Audi TDI and Mercedes CDI engines are checked for suitability and current mechanical condition.
The clutch, DSG, ZF or other gearbox torque-management limits may influence what can sensibly be calibrated.
Registration, VIN, engine code, year, modifications and any ECU fault information.
We assess ECU hardware, software version, security access and compatibility.
Discuss health, transmission, use case and the appropriate road-compliant calibration.
We confirm the quote, workshop or selected mobile availability, and verification required.

VW Caddy Stage 1 remapping
Send your vehicle details before booking. Our workshop is in Stourbridge near Birmingham; selected West Midlands mobile visits are subject to availability. Postal module and online tuning-file services are separate from in-vehicle appointments.
Remapping may require notifying your insurer. The vehicle must meet applicable MOT, emissions and roadworthiness rules. Existing mechanical faults should be repaired before calibration.
WORKSHOP STAGE 1 FROM £239 · SUBJECT TO ECU CHECKSGTM advertises Stage 1 ECU remapping from £239 at its Stourbridge workshop for compatible vehicles. The final price depends on the ECU, vehicle and work required.
That is the usual starting point, subject to a healthy engine, identified ECU and compatible software.
Selected mobile visits in the West Midlands may be arranged. Workshop and mobile pricing or availability are confirmed individually.
A remap is a modification that should be declared to your insurer. Roadworthiness, emissions and MOT requirements still apply.
Send the registration, VIN, engine code, year, modifications and what you want to achieve. Our team will confirm support and the appropriate next step.
