An economy-focused remap is about how the vehicle drives in real use—not a guaranteed MPG percentage. Ask SGTM to assess whether your engine, ECU and driving pattern are suitable for a conservative calibration.

Economy tuning focuses on smoother delivery and sensible useable torque, not unrealistic MPG promises.
This route is often discussed for commuting diesels and work vehicles that spend time on longer journeys.
DPF faults, injector issues, boost leaks or poor servicing can outweigh any software changes.
Economy tuning may adjust selected ECU behaviour around usable torque delivery and throttle response on an appropriate engine. It does not create savings on every journey or correct inefficient driving, a worn engine, incorrect tyre pressure or a blocked DPF.
The most suitable approach can differ between high-mileage motorway cars, local delivery vehicles and vans carrying tools. We assess the vehicle specification and intended duty cycle before making a recommendation.

Request an ECU check →The correct service is based on ECU identification, mechanical condition and the proposed road-compliant calibration.
Focus on predictable response in the rev range used most during normal driving.
A loaded van, motorway commuter and urban stop-start vehicle have very different consumption patterns.
Driving style, load, weather, maintenance and routes often have a greater effect than ECU calibration.
These are examples for discussion, not a promise of compatibility or specific power figures.
Suitable diesel engines may be assessed, provided emissions hardware and engine condition are healthy.
Ask about compatible Transit, Sprinter, Transporter, Crafter and similar engines via our dedicated van service.
Share vehicle mix and route patterns first; a blanket remap for every vehicle is not appropriate.
Registration, VIN, engine code, year, modifications and any ECU fault information.
We assess ECU hardware, software version, security access and compatibility.
Discuss health, transmission, use case and the appropriate road-compliant calibration.
We confirm the quote, workshop or selected mobile availability, and verification required.
Read our dedicated commercial-vehicle tuning guidance. We show authentic workshop work where available and do not imply an unrelated case study is a measured tuning result.

Send your vehicle details before booking. Our workshop is in Stourbridge near Birmingham; selected West Midlands mobile visits are subject to availability. Postal module and online tuning-file services are separate from in-vehicle appointments.
Remapping may require notifying your insurer. The vehicle must meet applicable MOT, emissions and roadworthiness rules. Existing mechanical faults should be repaired before calibration.
ECONOMY TUNING BY QUOTATION · NO MPG PROMISESNo. Any fuel-use difference depends on vehicle health, load, speed, roads and driving habits.
The intended calibration priorities differ. SGTM can advise on the appropriate approach for a compatible vehicle.
SGTM assesses compatible van ECUs and can discuss multiple-vehicle enquiries individually.
No. Incorrect sensors, mechanical faults, tyre pressures and emissions-system problems need diagnosis and repair first.
Send the registration, VIN, engine code, year, modifications and what you want to achieve. Our team will confirm support and the appropriate next step.
