Van remapping and chip tuning enquiries for Ford Transit, VW Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter and other light commercial vehicles. SG-Tronic Motorsport offers vehicle-specific ECU assessments from its Stourbridge workshop near Birmingham; selected mobile visits are available by arrangement.

A work van is often carrying equipment, making deliveries or travelling with a trailer. A suitable Stage 1 calibration can change how torque and throttle response feel under load, but the correct approach depends on the engine, ECU, clutch or gearbox condition, vehicle weight and intended use. We discuss those factors before any programming.
Drivers searching for Ford Transit Custom remapping, VW Transporter tuning or Mercedes Sprinter ECU remapping can send their vehicle registration and engine details to check whether SGTM can support that particular ECU. Model names alone do not guarantee that a vehicle can be remapped.

Any change is subject to the ECU, mechanical condition and road-use requirements. Results depend on the actual vehicle; no fixed horsepower, torque or fuel-saving figures are promised.

Review throttle response and suitable torque delivery for urban journeys, A-roads and motorway use rather than chasing headline power alone.
Review pulling response for correctly loaded and legally towed equipment; remapping does not increase legal towing or gross vehicle weight limits.
Economy tuning may be considered for appropriate engines, but fuel consumption is determined by load, driving conditions and driving style; savings are not guaranteed.
Vehicle and ECU support is checked individually. The models below are search examples, not a guarantee that every year, engine or software version can be programmed.
Ford Transit, Transit Custom and Transit Connect diesel ECU identification and available Stage 1 options, subject to software security.
VW Transporter T5/T6, Crafter and Caddy remapping enquiries, including locked-ECU checks where applicable.
Mercedes Sprinter and Vito ECU identification and torque-oriented tuning enquiries for compatible engines.
Light commercial Vivaro and Movano performance or economy calibration assessment for the exact engine and ECU.
Commercial Renault and related Nissan platforms checked by ECU family, software version and current condition.
Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay and Fiat Ducato remapping enquiries, including appropriately equipped commercial conversions.
Send the registration, VIN, make, model, engine and any existing ECU fault codes.
We confirm the ECU programming route, vehicle condition and whether a workshop or mobile appointment is appropriate.
If suitable, agree the goal and quote before applying the vehicle-specific supported software.
Discuss any relevant fault checks and return-to-service requirements for the working vehicle.
Stage 1 ECU remapping at the Stourbridge workshop has a published starting price of £239 for compatible standard or near-standard cars and vans on the main ECU remapping page. A specific commercial van quote depends on vehicle, ECU security, programming access, diagnostic work and any specialist requirements. Mobile attendance and fleet visits are priced separately after review.
Bring a compatible van to our workshop at Unit 3 Glass Court, 70 Hayes Lane, Stourbridge, DY9 8QT by appointment.
Selected van appointments around Birmingham, Dudley, Halesowen and Wolverhampton depend on location, ECU compatibility and safe access.
Business and trade enquiries are welcome. Send details for every vehicle so we can confirm technical support and provide a sensible quote.
ECU calibration should not be used to conceal an unresolved fault or disable emissions controls required for road use. DPF, EGR and SCR/AdBlue systems must remain compliant; manufacturer payload, axle and towing limits do not change after remapping. Inform your insurer about any vehicle modification and keep the vehicle properly maintained.
SGTM assesses software support and lawful application before accepting work. When a technical or safety condition makes remapping unsuitable, diagnostics or mechanical repair may be recommended instead.
Vehicle diagnostics and fault checksStage 1 remapping starts from £239 for compatible standard or near-standard vehicles at our Stourbridge workshop, but van quotes depend on the particular ECU and work required. Mobile, fleet and specialist access requirements are quoted individually.
We assess these popular platforms, but ECU security, engine variant and software version can determine whether a job is supported. Send the registration and VIN for a compatibility check.
Selected mobile appointments may be possible near Birmingham, Stourbridge, Dudley, Halesowen and Wolverhampton. We confirm safe access, diagnostic requirements and travel cost before booking.
MPG savings and torque improvements cannot be guaranteed and depend on the vehicle, load and driving conditions. A remap does not increase the manufacturer’s legal towing or gross-weight limits.
Road-use remapping must preserve required emissions-control operation and vehicle compliance. We assess existing faults before tuning rather than using ECU software to conceal an unresolved fault.
Yes. ECU remapping is a vehicle modification; check your insurance terms and declare the work to the insurer before proceeding.
Send the registration, VIN, engine size, model year and your tuning goal. We will check supported ECU methods and provide an appropriate quotation.
