Real workshop evidence from a VW Group airbag ECU: a locked collision-event fault, specialist SRS module data work and an operation-success result.
SGTM supports compatible Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda airbag module programming enquiries from Birmingham, the West Midlands and across the UK by post.
The original diagnostic report records a collision-event storage fault that could not be treated as an ordinary warning-lamp enquiry. The images below document the tool screens; they do not identify a precise VW Group model or part number.

The first screenshot shows B1193:00-09 — Collision event storage is full and locked. Additional diagnostic entries relate to SRS impact sensors, belt pretensioners and airbag igniters.
A collision record can remain in the SRS control module even when a diagnostic tool reports a successful DTC erase command. Each underlying fault and the actual vehicle condition must be evaluated separately.
For wider investigation, see our auto electrical diagnostics and airbag ECU reset service.
The supplied workshop footage and programmer captures show a controlled module data-processing sequence. The exact module hardware and procedure must always be confirmed on each individual job.

The screenshots show an EEPROM read stage and a crash-file processing stage on the specialist programmer.
The application displays successful EEPROM writing and an “Operation success” confirmation. These are software-level results, not a full vehicle safety clearance.
Browse the original workshop footage still and seven diagnostic screenshots supplied for this case. Images are presented as evidence, not a substitute for an in-vehicle post-repair SRS test.

Watch the 42-second workshop recording with the module being handled and connected at the bench, diagnostic fault-code views and the programming application’s confirmation screen.
This video includes its original audio. Press Play to watch; it does not autoplay. The video documents the module workflow, not a completed vehicle-level restraint-system inspection.
View the SRS Airbag ECU Reset service →A successful EEPROM write or DTC erase screen cannot establish that an airbag system will operate correctly. Vehicle manufacturer repair instructions and qualified inspections take priority.
Deployed airbags, seatbelt pretensioners, impact sensors, wiring and other SRS parts must be inspected and replaced or repaired as prescribed by the manufacturer. The module software procedure does not perform this work.
Some controllers require replacement rather than reset. Match the exact ECU hardware, part number, VIN and manufacturer instructions, then complete system diagnostics after the correct vehicle repairs. No warning light alone guarantees safety.
Only a suitably qualified repairer can determine whether the complete vehicle SRS system is safe to return to use. SGTM's postal service concerns the compatible control module only; no pyrotechnic components are accepted.
SG-Tronic Motorsport is based in Stourbridge, near Birmingham. Owners, independent workshops, bodyshops and motor-trade customers across the UK can enquire about supported VAG airbag ECU services by post.
Provide the registration, VIN, make/model/year, ECU label photo and diagnostic screenshots, including any collision-history information.
We review the requested service and the exact controller before providing the quotation and postal instructions. Never post airbags, inflators or belt pretensioners.
For eligible modules, SGTM can discuss data-level assessment, the applicable programming service and return shipping. Vehicle repairs and post-fit checks are separate.
For safe packing and dispatch details, read our UK module postage guide before sending any item.

UK postal enquiries are available for supported airbag control modules. Contact SGTM first with the vehicle VIN, registration, the ECU label/part number and diagnostic report. Acceptance depends on the exact module and job assessment.
In the supplied diagnostic screenshot the SRS system reports collision-event storage as full and locked. This commonly requires a specialist assessment beyond a normal clear-fault-code command. The fault alone does not prove a reset is suitable for every vehicle.
No. “Erase DTC Success” only confirms the diagnostic erase command completed. Live faults, stored crash information, damaged wiring, deployed restraint devices and other safety concerns still need independent checks.
No. It shows the diagnostic/programming application reported successful data processing. Only the correct post-collision repairs, manufacturer-approved procedures and vehicle-level diagnostic tests can establish the condition of the complete restraint system.
For supported original modules, retaining identity and configuration is normally an objective. Compatibility, data integrity and the final service scope must be checked for the actual module. We do not guarantee that every SRS controller can be reset or reused.
No. Postal enquiries concern the control module only. Do not send airbags, inflators, pyrotechnic pretensioners or other explosive restraint components.
Use the SGTM booking form and include the VW Group make, model, registration, VIN, module label photograph and fault-code screenshots. The team can then discuss compatibility, the quotation and postal instructions before dispatch.
Send your VIN, registration, module label and the SRS fault-code report. We will review compatibility before discussing any postal service or programming.
